The Red Bluff Library recently held a STEM Activity Day on June 9th. This month, patrons were tasked with building a paper airplane launcher out of LEGO bricks. It was a total blast and there were dozens of airplanes flying. Everyone had a different approach when it came to building the launcher, but the most creative approach of the day was building a handle underneath the launcher.
The next Red Bluff STEM Activity Day will be focused on animated movement and will task patrons with making a phenakistoscope (an early animation device, which was the first widespread animation device capable of creating a fluid illusion of motion). This activity will occur on July 14, 2025, from 1-7pm at the Tehama County Library at 545 Diamond Ave, Red Bluff.
